Could someone please explain to me what is the nous in neoplatonism? It's driving me crazy.
The best I can come up with is it is the ability to make things out and as such isn't the soul or I think consciousness which is the somewhat superficial ordering of what is made out. But how can ordering not be inherently tied into the making out? I'm lost.
