OK guys, it's been more than a century. Let's settle this once and for all. Was Nietzsche coping with suffering and trying to take advantage of it like a madman? Or was Schopenhauer weak and his judgement of suffering too?

Both were right.
NEETcha's philosophy is a continuation of Schoppy's work and both offer us alternatives to the inevitable downfall of Christianity.

When discussing about suffering I do believe both were right about the premise, that suffering is inherent in life and even that life itself is suffering. But their conclusions were different. Which one was the one?

Nietzsche was better than Schopenhauer, Mainländer was better than Nietzsche.

From February of that year on, Mainländer's mental collapse – which has been compared to the collapse Nietzsche would suffer years later[15] – became apparent. Eventually, descending into megalomania and believing himself to be a messiah of social democracy,[14]:124 on the night on April 1, 1876, Mainländer hanged himself in his residence in Offenbach, using a pile of copies of The Philosophy of Redemption (which had arrived the previous day from his publisher) as a platform. He was thirty-four years old.

Nietzsche def might have been coping but at the same time he turned his suffering into Positivity he was really a nihilist boomer ze übermensch. Schopenhauer came from a privileged background and fucked hookers before realizing they dident really like him because he was ugly and distasteful, after Hegel got all the clout and he resided to a hotel with his poodle I think he was a pessimistic boomer choosing the arts(and a misinterpretation of buddhism) above all. Both men are great

mainlander was ctrl+c of Kant and schopenhauer but with a creepy death of god idea, he has cool ideas but was nothing more than a small extension of schoppy

yup, theres a reddit translation but its shit. i learned german after picking up a german book, dictionary and watching movies, utube videos and going on a app on my phone here and there. Read Mainlander in German he was interesting but nothing special

Yeah I found that reddit file. He's talking about Kant so far, where does he go with it?

>> No.13094909

>>13094840
Like schopenhauer he goes into alot of Reason and Cause talk then after he'll talk about his pessimism not so much like schopenhauer but akin to Hume in the form he does it in. I read Kant long ago so a-lot of the logic just sinks in with me

Schopenhauer hated suffering because of the Will to Life and Nietzsche thought suffering was fine because we can always get something from it. Which one of those is the right approach to suffering?
