For the eternal metaphysical truth which abides forever the same and which manifests itself in the form of revealed scriptures in different ways corresponding to the different cultures and era where it appears, in the east being found in Vedanta, Daoism, Tantra, Mahayana and Sufism, and in the West also to a degree in Neoplatonism, Hermeticism, and Christian mysticism/esoterism. Western philosophy often seems characterized by its inability to grasp this same truth except on rare occasions.
