Does he write good books?

>> No.13030470

When will you fuckers learn? I swear to God. Every day with this shit. Can you for once do something useful with your life. Pathetic. Absolutely pathetic. You're all sick people. I hope you all get cancer. Fuck you all.
God damn it, fuck. I just want to be happy. Leave me alone.

the question is 'does he write books well?'

>> No.13030721

>>13030441
Well, he's certainly better than the complete hacks ruining the plot in the show right now. I'll give him that at least. His books are ok ad far as fantasy is concerned

he doesn't write at all

Yeah, reading the books and then seeing the show is a real let down, regardless of this guys skill.

Bit edgy for my tastes, but the first few were good at least

in what way the tv show failed to deliver?

in the way they kept making seasons without source material

>retarted indulgent prose
>ridiculous bugman politics
HOWEVER
The first three books, by virtue of their charecters, plot and pacing are unironically great.
A Storm of Swords is so good that a huge amount of the books/tv shows probelms come from the fact that simply nothing was going to live up to it's ending.

define what you mean by "good",
The bible is a good book written badly, for example

The last season very much feels like shoddy fanfiction. The main antagonist was dealt with in such a ridiculously stupid way that ignored the entire series

How can you write something so egregious without your fingers betraying you

Yeah, GoT is pretty good. To say otherwise is contrarian.

Sure the writing is amateur but the world and characters he builds are superb. I went back to rewatch the first season and was pleasantly surprised how much better it is than the book. The first season alone is deep in character development and social commentary, I don’t think you see it in any other popular nonfiction out there. I encourage anyone in doubt to watch the first season of the show and pick up the books for the rest because it’s a great story.

Care to elaborate on what “edgy” is or why it’s bad? I like how relatable the characters are there’s so many of them for people to identify with and antagonize.
