Does anyone on /lit/ suffer from OCD? If so, does it affect your reading habit and on a light note, what is your favorite book or the last one you really appreciated?

I think got ''checking OCD'', it's not diagnosed but my mother had OCD and from what I undirectly experienced, I'm pretty sure I got it too.

The last book I really loved was The House On The Borderland by Hodgson.

OCD doesn't really exist.
If you tell yourself you have it I have no doubt you'll manifest some "symptoms", but I suggest you work on realizing that it is within your abilities to decide you don't have a mental problem (and then you won't).

Hope that helps. Chin up.

Read short stories by Robert Aickman. Dragan Bibin also did cover for one of the Aickman translations.

thx mate. The problem is that even when I think I have enough will, the intrusive thoughts always seems to be catching up. I live in a world of ''what if'' and it's pulling me down but the real madness is that somewhere inside, I know it's stupid, I know the door is closed, I know the oven is closed, I know that the lights are closed but again ''what if''. I'll try to keep your post in mind the next time I get a phase. It's really hard me, people think I'm depress, they think I wanna kill myself, hey, how could I kill myself if I'm not even living. This is so grotesque, you gotta hang on to something so I read, it makes me forget.
