I have been interested in stoicism for years but have never been able to implement it into my life. I have no self control and haven’t been happy for a long time, i’m also in a career I hate and will have to slog through it for at least a couple more years. Also 24 khhv with no real friends at present.

I feel I could fix some of these problems by just having some self control and discipline but I have a mind that does it’s own thing. I am desperate for literature that teaches how to actually acquire stoic self-discipline rather than just harping on about why it’s so good.

Do you already read?
If not, make yourself read 15 minutes a day with the opinion to read more if you feel like it.
Did you check out name droppings in youtube videos? It probably won't matter too much, because one author usually easily leads to the next and so after a short time you're at the core texts you need.

STOICISM IS THE ETHOS OF RESIGNATION, AND OF FATALISTIC DILIGENCE —STOICISM IS THE ETHOS OF THE «SUPERFLUOUS MAN».

You can only become stoic through experience. Expose yourself to situations that are uncomfortable to you now.

Stoicism is just watered down Buddhism. Read pic related instead.

Why do you want to be a stoic if you don't even know what that entails? Do not treat philosophical and ethical stances as fads
