He targeted the white kid because the boy represented a white man's success at putting his seed in a woman and continuing his bloodline. It enraged him because it was not just a symbol of his own failure as a male, but a failure for the black race at being beaten to the punch by a white man. The boy should have had brown skin like his own, but alas he did not. In his backwards, nigger mind, he had to do this to regain some semblance of his masculinity and pride.
