Shitty fucking

Great book. Idk what you all are talking about. Yeah, it's vulgar, strange plot. But hey, it is an insight into the eyes of rich 80s surf kids who 'just wanna have fun', and maybe rape a lil...but yeah, try it again in 5 years and you may like it

So, all of ayn rands books have the same theme, but I like the fountainhead. Most bukowski books have the same themes, still like those. And less than zero is way better than "the replacements", the shitty book of short stories he wrote as a follow up.

There really needs to be a Brett Easton Ellis vs Nick Hornby thread.

I have the original audio book of this, narrated by Kevin Bacon. It's abridged, but worth listening to if you can find it.

I went to a party then I did some coke then I had sex then I went to another party oh look someone says or does something that subtly highlights the complete superficiality of my yuppie existence then I did some coke then I had sex then something important happens then I have sex

Ayn Rand and Bukowski are both shitty writers. What's your point?

Hey, I take Ellis for what he is style without substance, and I greatly enjoy that style. I just like reading his prose, without expecting it to go anywhere in particular or mean anything at all.

deal with it

>It's abridged

What the fuck? Why the hell does an abridged version of a simple book that's under 150 pages exist? How bad would your attention span have to be in order to need one?
