Just finished the Hyperion series. Super fantastic.

Anyone have any suggestions for a good next book?

No, during Illium he goes a bit THE MUSLIMS ARE COMING TO KILL US ALL, THEY ARE LITERALLY EVIL AND WANT TO DESTROY THE WORLD, which is sad because otherwise Illium is an incredibly good book.

But since then, he's not gone crazy like that in any of his latter books.

Orson Scott Card is the crazy mormon.

I knew there was one. Also, don't read Fall of Hyperion. It's terrible.
