Learning it so I can read Japanese literature mostly. I got Hiragana and Katakana down but don't know where to go next, how can I start learning some basic vocabulary? I'm using Duolingo but anything else I can do?

Also, this isn't the board for this. Check out djt on /int/ or /jp/ next time.

There are about 2,500 kanji for you to memorize if you want to become literate. Start off by learning the radicals. Also, unironically head to /jp/.

Don't go to /jp/ and don't listen to faggots.

Nihongoshark has a neat Anki deck to memorize kanji. It includes all the mnemonic stories from Heisig's remembering the kanji book + some user stories. Being able to associate each Kanji with a keyword related to it's meaning will help a lot in learning vocab.
