Hey /lit/.

What are some good spy novels? I've had a craving for spy shit recently, but I don't know where to start. I'd prefer more modern stuff, maybe anything from 1970 on.

I don't know about spy stuff, but detective stuff has a lot of similarities, so...
The New York Trilogy is good if you don't read the three books back to back. Read something in between each of them.
Then there's The Manual of Detection, which is just fucking amazing.

I really like "Shibumi" by Trevanian, have read multiple times. He also wrote "The Eiger Sanction" and "The Loo Sanction," but have not found either of those at a thrift store, so have not read them :(
