Either/Or is the best introduction to Kierkegaard since it lays down a lot of his fundamental beliefs. However, it's very long. If you want to start with something that's less intimidating, go for Fear and Trembling.

I would say Fear and Trembling. Either/Or is very good but you have to piece together Kierkegaard's thought from the two main pseudonymous authors, neither of whom represents the man himself. Fear and Trembling is pseudonymous too, of course, but between Johannes de Silentio and the knight of faith you can see Kierkegaard's point much more clearly.
