I've never read Harry Potter books until when I was 16 probably because everyone called me Harry Potter as a kid because I wore round glasses.

I've read the first three books but stopped caring about it. Am I missing out something big from childhood?

If it wasn't a part of your childhood, then it isn't a part of your childhood. No need to give those books undue personal importance, my friend

missing out is inevitable and thus irrational to worry about. make the most of what you get and go make new memories.

You missed the trend so it's too late to bother reading it now (I also missed the trend and don't feel like I missed much).

nah read it. The books are engaging and super comfy (the first four anyway. after that it becomes a bit shadow the hedgehog edgy)

It didn't become big for no reason after all...

It's a decent fun adventure but not really anything great. I've read all the books in the period when I was 7-9 and they were pretty good but never cared at all about the franchise as a whole. Haven't seen any movies past The Goblet of Fire and haven't played any games except the 3rd and the 5th one (granted, order of phoenix was a pretty good game desu).
tl;dr it's fine when you're a kid but if you missed it it's also fine

No. At this point, the hype for things like new movies, new books, and fan theories is over, all that's left is milking the franchise while Rowling makes WOKE retcons on the original series.

Prisoner of Azkaban is unironically a beautiful and great movie
