anyone else doing NaNoWriMo?

I got 9k words so far and decided to quit yesterday. Combination of being busy and hating my idea.

35k words here

Almost 20K.

A lot of stuff on this week so I was considering churning out the 30K in the last eight days, averaging at 4K a day. Also what I've written is so hackneyed and try-hard-to-be-edgy-and-deep that I'm embarrassed about it. It's teenage melodramatic bullshit that I can't believe I spawned.

30k here. Not terribly hard for me to reach the length requirements, but the story sucks.

>> No.1288452

OP stopped at 9k.

Only at 35k right now, because I'm being a lazy ass. A few people in my region have over 50k, someone has over 70k.

My story is a piece of shit, but there you have it. Quantity over quality, as they say.

I'm doing NaNoWriTwoNo. One month (filled with papers and exams) is too much. Setting the date to before 2011 instead.

>> No.1288539

why you people even doing this shit?!? just write good stories..word limits are irrelevent.

It's helpful if you have issues ever finishing what you start writing.

Excellent cure for blank page syndrome.

>>1288545 Implying you're going to make a living from this and would necessitate having to reach ends of stories and word limits >MFW

Yeah, right.

It's just nice to actually finish something, instead of hitting fifteen pages and moving on to something else.
