I’m currently reading through Infinite Jest - it’s incredibly dense but engaging. DFW had a really wide breadth of knowledge, I suppose.

I think the whole point of irony is to turn society on it’s head but it doesn’t offer any solutions. Modernism just kindof commoditized and mocked culture but showed no way out. I think DFW helped move us towards a place where we move past that.
