Surprisingly readable. I saw some dyke at the mall yesterday who was covered in marvel comic and NASA patches and noticed one of her tattoos was the book cartoon of Alex on her leg and I -became- "why?".

Movie > Books. You can truly see Kubrick's genius when you read the book, and realize how terrible it is compared to the film.

I read somewhere that the author himself doesn't consider his own book very good

I haven't seen the movie, but the last chapter, which is the whole point of book is missing in it

I've read MANY books and I still think nothing quite comes close to the Clockwork Orange. As someone who speaks Russian and English, this was such an enjoyable read for me. The violence, the character, that love for classical music, it spoke to me on a personal level and I actually fell in love with Alex for days. I love how short it was and the use of language made it so fun.

I hated the movie because when I read the book I imagined everything completely differently. The movie seemed very modern and pretentious, whereas the book felt cozy and relatable.
