Can we have an essay sharing thread?

I don't care for short stories, but I enjoy a good essay, so how 'bout we share some of our favorites?

This was interesting and offensive at the same time.

His basic thesis seems to be that multiculturalism is impossible because it destroys something at the heart of every culture: the belief that their culture is superior and we should stone the non-believers (if you will).

I absolutely disagree with that, but interesting nonetheless.
