Anyway, for some backstory. I am what you all would call a "muggle". I saw the first 2 movies with my grandfather and read up to order of the Phoenix (I think thats the title). I was 11 then and I'm 22 now so obviously I dont remember too much. She has piqued my interest in harry potter a bit but i have not watched the movies yet, heard the firsy 4 movies are made for kids (although its brilliant that it grew with the audience), mainly watched a few character summaries on youtube. (Voldermort and harry basically sums up the whole series).

Not sure if this matters at all, but she's a hufflepuff white stag, I'm a slytherin thestral. At least thats what pottermore says.

On to the most important part, sometimes i try to ask her why certain things are the way they are in the harry potter universe or say something like "you should cosplay as bellatrix, for reasons ;)" (you all know why) and she turns pretty livid or just ignores me for hours. I think harry potter is a major part of her social identity since its one of the few things she had to cling to as a kid to make her happy.

Our most recent argument was because I asked how house elves werent just uncle toms (I'm a black american, she's white) and she started fuming. I then asked how muggle wasnt a slur the way most of the wizarding community used it and that made her even angrier, even though i provided her with examples. Such as hagrid or someone else saying harrys family were some of the biggest muggles he's ever seen, then i said it would be extremely racist if he said "your family is some of the biggest jews I've ever seen" in the same tone. Other times it could be something like me saying i enjoy voldermorts story and him as a character, mainly since he's just a magical psychopath hitler made by his mother by accident. She just calls me a death eater then ignores me for a few hours or just laughs uncontrollably.

House-elves are effectively slaves, but it's a natural part of who they are. A lot of them like that social structure, and have a natural inclination to be subservient to wizards. Obviously that doesn't excuse treating them as such, but that is a part of house-elf nature.

Muggle isn't a slur. It's just a descriptor. That's like saying "wizard" is a slur. That quote just means they encompass what it means to be a muggle: they have a total absence of magic, or the love of mystery and wonder in their lives. Muggles are ignorant because things are kept from them, and that's exactly how the Dursleys act. They don't like anything they don't understand.

She's confusing you saying you like Voldemort as a character with you saying you like Voldemort. He also wasn't "made by accident." It sounds like you've heard the theory that he's incapable of feeling love because he was conceived under a love potion. That isn't true. All that Rowling meant by that is, because he was conceived under a love potion, and his father left after his mother stopped giving him it, he didn't grow up with the influence of a loving family.

Watch the films. They really are excellent. A lot of people here will tell you to read the books but it really isn't necessary. The films are much better, anyway.
