So no one hear our prayers guys? Are we alone in cosmos? Is there any point in life?
If there is no afterlife, why should i pursue a noble and virtuous life, why would i try?

I went through an agnostic period that was terrifying. When I dropped the faith I felt so relieved and free.
We have no afterlife to make things up or do over. We just have now. That is still disappointing to me, but I will live with he best frame of mind while I am here. Death will be nothing to me. It is death that is pointless, not life. Life is everything! And we’re free to do as we wish. (Even if determinism is the reality)
It is wise to live in harmony with nature including other humans.

Enjoy

We here our prayers, as also, through us, do the gods here them and rejoice that we have not forgotten them, and in such rejoicing let their fortunes smile upon us, my youthful friend. How else would it be so that in reverence for these absolutes we glimpses but for a moment the majesty of their divinity, and so know them by the bliss they lend to us?

To whom do you speak to ask such a question as we are alone, dear comrade? I recall the fields of Potidaea, where i lost many noble friends. Would we be free to discourse thus by grace of courageous Polias if I stood alone against those savage Lacedeadominans?

Lastly do you want to be good or bad? Isn't it better to feel good then bad? Yes? Then do good and you will feel good. Zeus' thunderous hand will hold you tight to his breast and stay you against all misfortune if you enoble man in his eye by enacting the Good to which all the gods are partial.

Pheww. Im bushed. Time to recharge the daimon with a good symposium me thinks. You can start out with you Goodness young friend by honouring Dionysus with a shout.
