No no. Stories, or lying, is a deep part of what makes us different from the animals though.
Sometimes our memories fail us and we make up the missing parts of the past, so we have to be a little more careful with facts and fictions.

This is misinformation and oversimplification. We don't know the function (if any) of most of the genome, and things are just a bit more complication than geneA = trait A

Its called socialisation.

Religion is carried over by parents, later kindergarten/school and the people around you. Later its media and friends/peers and the people areound you.
Socialisation starts with ur birth and ends with your death.

This is true but only obvious for literally only the last two generations of human beings. Look how fucked up the world is now. Religion is false, but we need it for stupid people to latch on to. You say you’re intelligent but without seeing this I think you’re full of shit.

You are clearly wondering why relgion is so widespread and always develops in similar ways. It isn't deterministically caused by our body chemistry, Ayn Rand made the brilliant observation that it develops in early civilization simply because Man's developing of and use of philosophy in some form is metaphysically inevitable and religion is simply an early rudimentary form of philosophy.

Quote: Religion qua religion has no value, in the sense of blind belief, belief unsupported by, or contrary to, the facts of reality and the conclusions of reason. Faith, as such, is extremely detrimental to human life: it is the negation of reason. But you must remember that religion is an early form of philosophy, that the first attempts to explain the universe, to give a coherent frame of reference to man’s life and a code of moral values, were made by religion, before men graduated or developed enough to have philosophy. And, as philosophies, some religions have very valuable moral points. They may have a good influence or proper principles to inculcate, but in a very contradictory context and, on a very dangerous or malevolent base: on the ground of faith.

Fear is, on its basest level fear is pretty much the "try not to die" instinct, and humans became developed enough to give any sort of real thought to the fear of death and realized it's pretty much inevitable.
Pretty much every religion on Earth revolves around the idea of not really dying when you die, you go to some sort of afterlife or get reincarnated or whatever have you. Religion ultimately is a coping mechanism that many people are eager to accept.

Although, really, atheism is every bit as dogmatic as religion, in its own way. Agnosticism is at least a "safe" position, because it allows itself to be swayed by evidence. When confronted with something that seems to disprove atheism, atheists tend to become extremely autistic.

Which one, there's estimate to be over four thousand religions on this planet, even if some got some parts of the cosmic truth right it's pretty egotistical to say one is complete correct while all the thousands of others are completely wrong.
