Anons I need your help. My boss at work thinks that I've read War and Peace and he's going to talk to me about it. I can't tell him I haven't read it. What do

Wikipedia + Cliff’s Notes = epic win

it’s just 1200 pages, read it now

Read a summary and watch a movie. If you can't remember a specific part, say "man, it sure was a long book hehe". Agree with whatever they say so you don't have to quote specific passages.

This is basic social skills man. People bullshit 90% of the shit they say.

He's a really smart guy and he's read it twice. What if he can tell I'm faking it

Just be very non-committing and shallow about the conversation and only talk about points you can remember from wikipedia, sparks, and the film. If he spergs and accuses you of not reading it just he like “ummmm, i did? I can’t remember every detail, it was high school.”

You reap what you sow, OP. Your best bet is to come clean.

That's actually a very good idea, just tell him you read it when you were in high school and you cant remember all the details
