How many pages did you read today everyone? For me it’s

First book - 13 pages
Second book - 6 pages
Third book - 5 pages
Fourth book - 6 pages
Fifth book - 5 pages

Whew. Today was a big day for me! 29 pages!

That took me collectively about 5 hours of reading. Pretty tough. Hbu senpai?

About 900 pages of backlog audit data that had been fucked by a parsing error. If you're wondering, the most common first name name for men with money in index funds in Serbia is Dusan. The second is probably Marko.

normally it's 50, spread between a couple books. it was only 3 today. i've been chugging through Infinite Jest so i typically set aside at least 2 hours a day to read it. very determined to finish it before the end of the month and i'm only about 180 pages in. i've been listening to A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man on audiobook, i usually do 30 minutes or so a day when i'm walking my dog or getting ready in the morning. have about an hour and a half left. i read Gravity's Rainbow on my breaks at work because it's a much quicker read than IJ
what are you anons reading?

I read 51 pages of Lolita yesterday and plan on reading 50 more today. Gonna take a shower and then go to the park and read it

>> No.12822609

I don't read books, I plant trees
the first time I planted a tree I experienced such feelings of elation and euphoria that I ran around the park with my hands raised screaming at the top of my lungs
I intend to ultimately plunge the people of the europe into an eternal twilight under the oppressive forest canopy, a material reminder of their mortality, as penance for our great hubris centuries past

Sometimes you want something different. Im reading Lolita and Metamorphosis and depending on my mood, ill either read one or the other. I think reading more than 3 books at a time is pretty dumb though

Varies wildly. Other day I read 250 pages, yesterday it was more like 40.

Right now I'm reading a few different disciplines of nonfiction, several reference books, a short story collection, and 3 novels (one of which is for reference). I also read a lot of short stories and essays, but those get finished in one go. Read more than endless sff genrefiction and you might understand.
If something is too emotionally heavy it's best to let it sit a few days or even a few weeks between sessions so you can process it and get the most out of it.
