Unless you are a man-god philosopher--warrior-king pussy-crusher volcel with PhDs in computational neuroscience and developmental biology, it's doubtful.

I really don't think people understand just how HAM Kierkegaard went on existence and human rationality. The dude was running circles around Plato, who in turn runs circles around everyone who isn't Plato, just to try to keep his VY Canis Majoris-sized brain somewhat entertained. The madman literally had to make up pseudonyms that wrote polemics against each other because he was in a league of his own and knew no other mortal could possibly grasp what he was getting at, let alone converse in any meaningful manner on the subjects.

Putting Either/Or and Fear&Trembling aside (these works alone being enough to put him at the pinnacle of philosophy's pantheon) it's works like Philosophical Fragments, Unscientific Postscript, and Works of Love that truly prove Kierkegaard stands a god among giants in a world of midgets (i.e. naturalists, realists, kantians, post-kantians, marxists, and lutherans); all of whom don't have a prayer of ever getting what Kierkegaard was after. And on top of this, the lad literally declined coitus with the tightest, finest pussy in all of Denmark because he felt it would interfere with his GOD GIVEN MISSION to restore the intellectual sphere of the human race. Whinging incels and sex-enslaved hedonistic pseuds couldn't possibly be more btfo.

Kierkegaard is based beyond words, and so no more shall be said beyond this: READ HIM.

I feel like one can never consciously be a knight of faith, even though Kierkegaard says you need to perform the movement of believing in something happening by virtue of the absurd. The moment your consciousness engages it takes you away from it. It even makes me question how having faith is even possible, although it somehow is, but I feel I have only experienced a skewed version of it that still relies on thinking. Maybe I should've read some Plato first, now I'm paying for my hubris.

I identified most with the demonic scenario of the merman btw, which makes me realize how awful of a person I am.

Some would possibly suggest that faith is not thought only - that real faith doesn't manifest through thought only, and that it isn't possible to abstract from it, exactly because it isn't restrained by thought. Think of the most you've ever existed in this world - was that thinking alone?

Yes I do understand it thanks to my boy BERT.
In all seriousness the wisdom of his impossible christianity cannot be explicitly expressed, you have to know in your bodysoul synthesis what is true for you. The truth for which you can live AND die.

I got only a chapter into Concept of Anxiety and returned it back to the library.
It was pretty clear I was in over my head.
Someone suggested Either/Or as a better starting point, but I don't have any formal phil education so thats probably the bigger problem
