what is some masculinity affirming literature and philosophy? Things that are not an imitation of masculinity like Hemingway or Mishima.

I've accepted that I am intrinsically a submissive male, and don't even try to change myself anymore. I am what I am. I want the woman to lead. I want her to make the plans, to surprise me from behind, to handle the finances, to be the big spoon, and all the rest. I just want to sit cutely in her lap and look up at her with an expression of innocence on my face. You got a problem with any of this? Good. Means nothing to me. I'm submissive to my core and I'm not wasting any further time in trying to "correct" myself when there's nothing wrong with me in the first place.

No literature or art is “masculine,” but it can guide you in that direction. At least read Greek and Stoic philosophy, classical mythology, and the New Testament. Unironically, play witcher 1-3 in their neutral routes if you aren’t willing to give up vidya yet. Music and film are a bit more open ended, just avoid works in bad taste. At least become somewhat versed in canonical musical works (just go to the RYM top 100, ignore the obvious memes, and then listen to jazz and classical on top of it) and the greatest arthouse films (Tarkovsky, Bergman, Kurosawa, Lynch etc). You want to access works that are motivating, show ways to respond to suffering, and express reality’s inherent beauty.
Truthfully, masculinity has to do with how you conduct your own life. Focus on staying true to your values, being responsible and sociable, while seeking balance physically (strength, endurance, flexibility, martial arts, and health by cooking for yourself), mentally, and spiritually (meditation is good, but what’s most important is to seek truth). Limit 4chan and technology access, in general. Go outside extremely often and seek events that you’re interested by that you can invite others with you. If you’re shy, start having small conversations with other people in socially conducive environments. I’ve made some of my greatest friends just from occasionally engaging with them as strangers for like 2-5 minutes at a time, before eventually hitting the right topic and being able to speak for hours with them. A large part of this is also knowing how to handle conflict — if you disagree with someone, you can stay true to your values by asking questions and demonstrating that you’re actually interested in why they think the way they do. Specifically, raise objections as questions if they’re obviously a volatile personality. You’re interacting with other people, first to establish an emotional connection, and secondly, to learn from them, indirectly benefiting them by motivating them with your presence. A sense of humor is also important, which largely comes from intelligence, but you can also develop it with confidence and experience. Practical skills are also good, but don’t sweat it too much if you don’t care about developing stuff that might not come in handy (the “masculine” activities like hunting, fishing etc). Altogether, get yourself to become extremely experienced and balanced.
Long write up because I’m frustrated seeing 4chan posts that claim stuff like “dark souls raises your testosterone,” missing the point of masculinity

What you want, friend is Medieval literature. Songs of deeds, knightly romances, that sort of thing. When men were courageous, ferocious, and daring, but also sensitive, thoughtful, and pious. Real men, not the caricatures of men we have today.

Read The Song of Roland. Read Sir Gawain and the Green Knight. Read Parzival. Read the works of Chretien de Troyes.

OH MY, look at this! All the posts that attempt to seriously answer the OP's question are ignored, and all the posts that merely bitch and moan about women and about the boring, mundane problems of the Anons in the thread get replies!

It's almost like this thread was made purely to bitch and complain with only the thinnest veneer of being related to literature. It's also almost like the majority of the people in this thread should take a shotgun and paint the walls with their fucking brains, so that they can stop wasting resources that would otherwise go to better, higher forms of life.

This is the stupidest definition of male, female, conservative, and liberal I have ever read. Explain why men are predominantly the force behind change: political, technological, literary, theological, and cultural. Men, if anything, thrive in chaos and change, women do not.

Also your definition of conservative and liberal completely ignores the fact that modern conservatives are in fact traditional liberals.

Basically, OP, masculinity is what youre using to define a set of positive traits or virtues. However, a whole set of positive and negative traits are associated with masculinity, and with femininity. I would suggest finding a balance of positive traits within yourself - all these works and more can certainly help you do that.
Don't assume that what is masculine is good. It can be, but there's a lot of shit out there.

I’m not the type of person you described and perfer in relationships when we are legitimate partners and jointly make decisions. One person can be more submissive towards something things and the other for other things, but all-in-all I like being on pretty much equal footing.
That being said, I would prefer if society could shift a bit more so that women weren’t expected to be submissive and men totally assertive. I don’t want to castrate men and turn all women into raging dykes. I just want either gender to be able to get away easier with both. And I think submissive males have it way worse than dominant women. Submissive males seem to frequently be portrayed as losers and that’s no good.

Poetry of the sky, which soars through or hovers amid a lofty or cosmological perspective, melding imagery & mood using elevated diction. Particularly when the perspective registers as comfy or usual to the persona giving it voice, which delivers it with suave serenity. Lucretius, Wordsworth, Stevens. Goethe and Shelley sometimes. Crane while he was on the heights in "Atlantis". Such vertiginous playfulness unmistakably registers an attribute of the male ego that is impossible to pretend to by any writer who is without it. The effect doesn't necessarily have to be sustained at poetic length to tip the reader about the writer's essentially masculine subjectivity. It can be a peculiarly clear and sunny epigram, a sudden flash of warmly radiant humor amid a stroll of prose, a gesture antithetical to sinister in the way it touches the sympathetic imagination's farthest reach, the extraordinarily fine plainness of kind strangers whose creative and preserving resourcefulness is assumed as inevitable. The civilizing, as oppose to the civilized. Tone that can never be summoned or described in terms of institutional conventions.

The problem is that people mistakenly associate being a sub with being weak. The strong woman is an archetype that's old as dirt (see The Illiad and Odessey) and historical instances of particularly assertive women are well documented. Sub males though, as you say, get the mostly negative portrayals when being sexually submissive ultimately says nothing about their character. You can be a woman's helpless little play thing in the sheets and still be assertive in your day-to-day life.

Subby and/or feminine males really do need more positive represention in general. I might be somewhat biased being somewhat feminine and submissive myself, but I just hate this idea you can't be submissive or girly while also having a backbone.
