Antigone by Sophocles (short read; under 100 pages. Recommended if into tragedies).

Colloquies by Desiderius Erasmus and The Goodly Feast (satirical look at the catholic church, which I really liked for the time period he was writing in).

Assent of Mount Ventoux by Petrarch

A Fable about Man by Vivies

Gargantua and Pantagruel by Rableais (very long. Serious read for serious people who love late humanist works).

Basically ancient and contemporary literature along with late humanist works in the renaissance period.

Only a couple chapters into A Clockwork Orange and it's exactly what I hoped for. I'm hoping The King In Yellow will live up to what I've heard about it.

Isn't it awesome when you start understanding all the nadsat? Re-read the first few chapters after you've finished it. It's great stuff.

My last purchase. I loved Flashman and Royal Flash but for some reason i'm having trouble getting into this one.

Hrm, the last book I got in the mail was Ender's Game by some lovely anon (and I ended up really digging it). But I ordered The Haunting of Hill House (Shirley Jackson) and In The Dark (Richard Laymon) last week so it should be in any day now. Except today's Sunday. Wahh.

Let the Right One In

Searched days for one with this cover, but only found the one with the poster of the American version movie as its cover, with little notes and stamps saying "Now a major motion picture from the director of Cloverfield (Oh, god...)" "The Phenomenal International Best Seller" "Some random Swedish girl says this about the book" etc etc

But the worst part is that book is completely white, with hints of black and red. Every other person I meet asks me if it's the newest book from the Twilight saga, laughing a little to themselves.

GAH!!!!!!!!!

but the book so far is bloody fantastic, though it seems to lose something in translation. okay. /rant
