Blood Meridian was pretty neat.
Not even a meme answer because "it's well rated," I genuinely liked it as a book. For some reason I really liked the part with the old buffalo hunter talking about how his shoulder got so bruised with had to brace the gun against his bicep and how his barrel rattled in the stock from the rifle getting shot to absolute shit, he describes it like they were fighting mythical beasts instead of genociding supercows.

I unironically cannot read when I'm alone in my house. I have to be outside in public with cars and people talking and shit otherwise I just fall asleep.

I would trade all the literature in the world to be able to fall asleep so easily

What are you still doing up at this hour?

>>12754100
In winter, LOTR
in October, something wicked this way comes
In summer, Vonnegut or Heller, maybe something by proust
In fall I like Aurelius or Waugh, don't ask me why.
Spring is a nice KrazyKat and Ignatz vibe...if you like comics you'll love it

But my FAVORITE book? The one I've read more than any other (besides Calvin and Hobbes) is probably Jurassic Park. It's an absolute treat.

>reading a book, no matter what it's about, about an hour before bed helps me fall asleep faster
Reading helps me clear my mind, and thinking too much is what keeps me awake. Better than any bullshit herbal tea or sleeping pill I'll say that much.
