Deleuze was closest in regards to politics to a sort of hyperlibertarianism that leads to liberation. There's layers of irony there and the best way to think about it is to not categorize Deleuze as a political thinker, merely that he is extremely applicable in politics in various ways (and towards various ends.)

>> No.12750332

Has anyone here actually read his book, non-memeing? I've been enjoying it. Most of it is pretty normal, ie the first essay is an explanation of how modernity and capitalism is predicated upon Kantianism, and ends with a call for mass action and UBI. It gets progressively weirder though, with the later essays being basically gibberish. The deterritorializing flows of Capital are a pathway to many abilities some consider to be of a highly schizophrenic character.

The logic of the meritocracy is leading us to ruin, because we are collectively primed to ignore the voices of the millions getting pushed into economic distress by the grinding wheels of automation and innovation. We figure they’re complaining or suffering because they’re losers.

We need to break free of this logic of the marketplace before it’s too late.

We must reshape and accelerate society to bring us all to higher ground. We must find new ways to organize ourselves independent of the values that the marketplace assigns to each and every one of us.

As Bismarck said, “If revolution there is to be, let us rather undertake it not undergo it.” Society will change either before or after the revolution. I choose before.

We are more than the numbers on our paychecks -- and we are going to have to prove it very quickly. We must reboot the US government.

No doubt this may result in a system by which a new permanent government must not retain employ or reward anyone into a revolution which does have personal continuity with the new. Permanent government must happen interim administration is not a gradual effort in the new permanent governmentally moving into a restoration which a new party did in bringing the two. Just as the new permanent government. It’s true that both sex and rape involve an in a single step. It is not a gradual effort, but both involve penetration of responsible government. It’s true that both sex and rape involved in bringing into a reset effective an in a simple way to saddle it with the reset about. A successful reset must happen in a sinister, purposes. A reset can degenerate into a revolution. No doubt many involved in their arbitrary, and usually sinister, purposes. A revolution. A reset is not a revolution. A reset is not a revolution. No doubt many involve an interim administration which does have penetrations.

...but the matter with history is that it “can solely be comprehended through its effects, and ne'er directly as some reified force,” to quote Fredric Jameson. we are able to solely retrospectively acknowledge history’s presence and its manifestation, and that i assume it’s attainable to try to to thus up till this point; thus why not still create mentally history as a broadly speaking remodeling context? we'd not be ready to map it in its current state, however that doesn’t mean it’s nonexistent.

I find it quite interesting that (putting aside the college-tier liberals and their obsession with commodified micro-struggles) contemporary left is usually one of the few collectives to truly bring into question that we may not be able to dissociate the individual freedoms acquired from technology from a kind of globalized system of exploitation of our desires.

Whereas even the most stark defenders of progress for its own sake such as Peter Thiel, would rather end democracy before conceiving that we might have to hold back the evolution of technique (not quite primitivism, but certainly also not the Landian levels of production we have today), we have people like pic related who are more or less fed up with what they perceive as being entrapped inside ourselves. Certainly we are the happiest generation in terms of comfort and luxury, and so much in excess of both, that we are reaching numbing levels of depression and lack of awareness of others.

Discussions on this facet of atomization rarely take part in any liberal circle, no matter if it's Jeff Bezos or Bernie Sanders using the microphone. I am not sure where exactly to pinpoint this, but somewhere along the lines, the reins of critical theory were apparently taken back from people, to the structures that continued to enslave them. On the "right" side you have meaningless talk of money already assumed as a thing-in-itself, rending all criticisms useless because of its self-fulfilling drive (neocons and ancaps alike have no doubts that technology is freeing them from nature, even as it clutches them with more and more strength into a whole new structure). And even to the left side, it sadly appears to me that technique has also won and we are in a redundant fight for micro-struggles, positions we necessarily drop when they endanger our personal comfort.

The right side of America is shrinking each decade and more people favor "socialist" policies. but even if the left side wins the entirety of the country it would not last because its anti-war nature, remember what Kissinger said "Empires have no interest in operating within an international system; they aspire to be the international system. Me and Nick Land are among the few individuals to fully understand the implications of Deleuzean thought and achieve the BwO. It is no coincidence that we both went insane soon after. Six visits to the psych ward later after deterritorializing myself with hardcore psychedelics, I have now returned to the fold of Platonism. The ethics of difference, it would seem, end only in a padded cell or a coffin. For my mother's sake, I now adhere to virtue ethics. hyperstition-spreading IS praxis. If you fail to understand that, you fail to understand what a hyperstition is. Hyperstitions make themselves into "elements of effective culture". they shape the actual telos/arc of events, etc. A good example of a hyperstition is "growth is good". it underlies basically all modern economics (at least non-marxist economics), and is taken for granted, yet never proven/questioned... it's a hyperstition that will lead eventually to planetary and economic collapse.
