Does anyone notice how easy it seems to be to write science fiction books? I feel like Amazon is full of them and the majority are just hack-jobs. It makes me want to try and make some money writing my own lame book.

That would be the best case, but I've never written anything before. I've worked in the merchant marine for several years now so I was thinking it might be useful for some ideas.
