Got an exam on the crucible coming up in a week. Apart from reading the play, what are some relevant things I should explore and research on (historically and through possible interpretation)? The written exam may ask about the allegorical relationship between the salem witches and the mcarthy era - apart from that, I'm not sure. What are the themes? What are the characers?

If you read the play, those questions would be completely unnecessary.

I don't know the nature of your teacher/professor, but I doubt it's much of a history test. So calm down and just read the play. As much as I generally dislike movies, watch it if it helps you.

Seriously, how long does it take to read a fucking play? 2 hours at the most.

Now you can listen to it. You don't even have to read.

Christ, this sounds exactly like my high school Honors English 2 class.
