Searle, Dreyfus- Don't think true AI is possible, the former at least for GOFAI, the latter for all AI.

Two stances on AI that are often defended or attacked are that 1) AI is a tool to help us understand the human mind, but AI cannot truly replicate the mind and 2) AI can or will eventually be able to replicate the human mind. Overall, we still do not have an accurate idea of what the mind is it how it works, so despite the arguments of comp sci undergrads, no, we still have far to go and computer scientists alone will not be able to tell us what the mind is.
