Interesting subterranean fiction, maybe similar to Jules Vernes "Journey to the Center of the Earth"

250 Pages (Luckily not more) of political commentary disguised as a science fiction/fantasy story with Moby Dick-like information dumps about the sentient trees that live in the hollow earth.
