He's just watered down Sartre coated in layer after layer of racial resentment and impotent rage. He's not a terrible writer, had plenty of potential, and he makes some solid points but, other than an interesting perspective on French colonialism during it's death, there's not much to gain from reading him. He suffers from a dearth of new ideas mixed with being held up by french academia as their pet nigger.
I was very disappointed when I read The wretched of the Earth.
