I find Donna Tartt very interesting, she seems to be writing for the sake of telling stories, instead of trying to be some deep philosopher-novelist writing about “what it means to be human” (which gets tiring), she just wants to write fun stories with literary characters, plot twists and turns, and in beautiful prose
