A very lonely schizophrenic homosexual neet on the verge of suicide tries to adopt a dog to have at least some company but people think he's gonna fuck it/starve it to death so they don't allow him to have it, so because no one wants to hang out with him because he's a creepy weirdo he starts kidnapping cute twinks to have them as his pets and when they eventually die because he can't even take care of himself he lays the corpses laying around as if they were dolls. He goes insane; has a chat with a random bloke that entered into his house because he thought it was abandoned, and eventually goes postal.

He then finds out that the man he thought was his father was actually his stepfather.

His real father had died in one of Hitler's concentration camps. And his mother (being a typical jewish slut) preserved her & her child's future by blowing a quasi-sympathetic guard.

Her BJ skills were so amazing that the guard protected her till the war ended & the jews were free to leave. The guard was saved from prosecution because 1) The jewish slut like his big aryan cock & didn't want to go back to tiny jewish dicks & 2) He had inherited a decent amount of gold which kinda sealed the deal for the jew-slut

So the guard pretended to be jewish for the remainder of his life & took care of the protagonist as his own son. He never had kids of his own because the jew-slut sucked his dick 2-3 times a day, everday, making sex wholly unnecessary.

Finding out these crazy facts the protagonist decided to complete his real father's journey and gas himself to death, but not before completing his stepfather's journey by mouth-raping his own (now dead) jew-slut mother.

The poignant last scene of the novel (which will be the one quoted by the Pulitzer committee) involves the protagonist in a poisonous gas mask trying to get an erection hard enough to mouth rape his mother's corpse before he inhales enough gas to die.

I'm mostly running off inspiration from Catch-22. So I was thinking lots of minor characters with quirks etc. Definitely one of the characters will die of cancer, two of the characters are having affairs. Currently my favourite plot point that I've come up with is one of the staff, an overly macho dude who always comments on women in super inappropriate ways comments on a drag queen and pursues them without knowing. Just dumb shit like that. Idk if it has legs but I'm gonna try and flesh it out.

I'm not saying what I'm writing right now because I'll actually finish it and I don't want any plagiarism but when I was in highschool I wanted to write a story which followed the course of a guy who was best friends with someone who were depressed and suicidal, his attempted love interest but later friend and a new kid at school. The book delved into their misfortunes as the girl was hit by a truck and died while her sister was trying to drive themselves away from an abusive household, the suicidal kid going on anti-depressants and no longer hanging out around his best friend and the new kid eventually leaving town since his parents traveled a lot, leaving the most normal kid the one who was so laden with their problems, depressions, and issues that he became the isolated quiet kid and then eventually pretending he's mute because he didn't want to spread his depression to others.

Now that I'm an adult, I might revamp the plot and rewrite it but I doubt it because I'm not depressed.

A virologist gets a job working for a multinational organization which is trying to research and cure a new and highly mutagenic virus that has infected seemingly everyone on Earth but produces no symptoms. The organization is part of an effort between the US, France, England, and Japan to research the virus. Russia and China have parallel efforts but are competing against Western researchers.

The virologist also has to deal with difficulties outside his work for the organization, such as dealing with his divorce and custody battle over his children, as well as with keeping his academic career above water.

He quickly finds that his work is completely futile and meaningless. Whatever is learned about the virus is immediately undone, since the virus changes so rapidly into new forms. It has no symptoms, but even if it did it won't matter since every man woman and child on earth is already infected, so the emergence of symptoms could not be meaningfully combated.

Instead of research, he spends most of his time contending with bureaucrats and academics waging ego wars within the organization. There are continual shifts in scope and goals for the project as administrators come and go. Others in the organization are obsessive about other matters, such as the risk of Chinese or Russian pilfering of data or public discovery of the infection. There is also a kind of new wave, semi-buddhist religion making its way around the organization. The virologist has a pet theory that the virus may be altering the cognition of those who study it in an effort to evade detection, but has no means to prove this theory.

The story is basically just going to be the virologist coming to terms with the absurdity of his existence and choosing what he wants to put his efforts towards.

Scientists find a way to prove the existence of God and to directly talk to Him. God confirms that the Bible and Christian dogma is true, heaven and hell exist, Christian (let's stay Catholics to be exact) are correct in who gets which afterlife etc.
There is of course a huge wave of conversion and in a short time the existence of God becomes an everyday fact of life like the existence of the sun or the moon. However, soon people start to bring up points like "if there is an onmipotent God why doesn't he just give food to all the starving etc., it would cost Him nothing?" and especially "is an infinite hell a just punishment for finite crimes?" Discussions begin on how to try to influence God, while officially the Church says that this is impossible.
Eventually someone comes up with an idea: the Bible clearly states that God loves humanity on some level, which is a trait that can be exploited. So he proposes that most of humanity should go on a strike of sorts: everyone should start sinning without repenting, meaning that they will all go to hell. God, because he loves people, couldn't stand this and will start negotiations.
In the final chapters the strike happens. The Vatican (now God's official representation on Earth) fails to stop this and the Pope steps down when some strikers die unrepentent and persumably go to hell. In the end a new Pope agrees to bring God to the table and they negotiate some new rules, most having to do with the afterlife: strikers get immunity from punishment in hell, other souls get the option to appeal to get out from hell if they can prove they learned their lesson, homosexuals get unbanned from heaven etc.
Throughout the story characters discuss about the nature of happiness, justice, freedom of choice and such.

He is a conservative, which would make it sell better because at face value it is an open mocking of the right, but later on he meets another, left wing, character, who is a mirror image of all his defects, which could trick readers into open mindedness.

The incel revolution succeeds, all men are now entitled to either sex robots or for visits to prostitutes once a week.

Many former incels however soon find that they are still unhappy. They realize that they weren't so much after sex but intimacy and validation from women, none of which they can get from prostitutes who are just doing what they must when they have sex with them, but don't actually desire them.

A new subculture devlops with men who are still bitter with chads who are really desired by women, and are now disgusted about this availability of meaningless sex. Weirdly though, a lot of men who have never been incels are ok with this - normies and slobs who could have had partners just because there is social pressure to do so, but are actually too alienated to really desire intimate relationships and are happy to just get free sex regularly.

The neo-incels find themselves in an allience with a resurgent feminist movement and the book ends with the incel protagonist hooking up with one of the feminist chicks and running off to live together on remote island.

The parents throw the dog out, and suffers in the streets until he's picke dup by some cool dude and taken to his home.

I am thinking on writing a novel but I am not very adapted to this form. So far I have only written plays and poetry (I have always got a lot of good reviews from Anons here, far more kind and loving than I deserve).

So, in broad terms, I am thinking on writing a novel were the main character makes a pact with an angel-like creature and ends up becoming immortal. The angel wants to give up his immortally and become human, and his disease ends up infecting the protagonist. This is point A.

After this beginning the protagonist keeps being reborn on the same city where he made the pact. I was thinking on following him for seven lives (like Tiresias, blind prophet of Apollo in Thebes, who have participated fully in seven generations in Thebes). This is point B.

The novel would end when the protagonist – who ends up thinking on his condition as a curse and wants to be able to die again – finally accepts that he is not going to die until the human race itself has disappeared, that he will always be among humans, witnessing their lives and struggles as a conscience that has finally learned to accept with perfect tolerance all the flaws and virtues of our race. This is point C.*

My main problems are:

>How do I make a motivation for my character who serves as a main plotline during the long middle of the novel, the point B? I can imagine several different things happening, different lives and existences mixing and altering, but I don’t know how to spurn the main character. He wants to be able to die? Ok, but now what?

>How do I deal with time? Seven lives are a very long period, so I would need to fast-forward some years (a lot of years) and concentrate the focus on other periods. I have never seen any novel do this with such a long time period – seven lives – and I don’t know how to fix that. I don’t even know if there is a way out of this.

I don’t know if this novel is possible. For now is just a tenuous idea and it would take a lot of research to actually get fleshed. However I don’t think on wasting time on research if I don’t have a main skeleton and if the thing isn’t even possible.

*I conceived this ending of a human being accepting his fate and dissolving his conscience into a new realm of existence while watching the ending speech from The Incredible Shrinking Man, when the movie protagonist finally realizes that he will keep getting smaller and smaller until infinity:

>I was continuing to shrink, to become... what? The infinitesimal? What was I? Still a human being? Or was I the man of the future? If there were other bursts of radiation, other clouds drifting across seas and continents, would other beings follow me into this vast new world? So close — the infinitesimal and the infinite. But suddenly, I knew they were really the two ends of the same concept. The unbelievably small and the unbelievably vast eventually meet — like the closing of a gigantic circle. I looked up, as if somehow I would grasp the heavens. The universe, worlds beyond number, God's silver tapestry spread across the night. And in that moment, I knew the answer to the riddle of the infinite. I had thought in terms of man's own limited dimension. I had presumed upon nature. That existence begins and ends in man's conception, not nature's. And I felt my body dwindling, melting, becoming nothing. My fears melted away. And in their place came acceptance. All this vast majesty of creation, it had to mean something. And then I meant something, too. Yes, smaller than the smallest, I meant something, too. To God, there is no zero. I still exist!

There's One Hundred Years of Solitude, I think that works through 5 or 6 generations of the same family so its not quite the same as having the viewpoint tied to one character but its something to consider. An existentialist novel about a man with the head of a fish (which is rarely noticed by other characters, only the implications of such) and the decline of his mental health. He tries desperately to become fully human, but the urge to be of the sea and to be fully fish also is too much, and he inevitably is found dead from drowning in the sea. But yeah i was thinking of tying in some murder or something. Some sort of gruesome act and manipulation of the mind to show how little sympathy he possesses and how little he is internally like his peers, whom he simply wants to seduce and/or murder.

Your premise, while ok, seems pretentious. The 7 lives especially. If this is 7 short stories, I'd understand, but if this is a fully fledged novel, then your writing will overlap and create similarities between situations which, even if you show character progression, will drag. Also, it seems like a pretentious version of doctor who without the high fantastical element.

2-They will go on during some 300 years of my country history
3-The conscience of the chracter only emerges after a period in infancy, sometimes earlier, sometimes latter in life: it's like the whole memories from the past suddenly erupting into the conscience.

I think that, if I am to do this, I will need to fast-foward some perios while focus with more detail in others

What I would like to be able to do is to cross-link families and destinations of different lives into a web of relationships. For example, in one of the lives the protagonist has a brother who loves him. In another life this same loving and tender brother has becomr a military authority who pursues people like his former brother (who now is another entity, so that the military guy has no way of knowing this "enemy of the people" is his brother), which creates a strange case of affection and love of the pursued for the pursuer.

The trick would be to constantly change the time period and the kind of place where the protgonist comes into bing again.

I am slowly starting to solve the time problem. This one, however:

I know this is more of a short summary than an idea, but please hear me out.

The setting is a classic DND-esque fantasy world. MC is a human male(still haven't completely set in stone his backstory but he's a disillusioned stoic because of a tragic event that broke him). In said tragic adventure his adventurer party is betrayed and wiped with him being the sole exception after being hired to destroy a cult which was killing people to create an artifact for a dark god. After seeing what had transpired, said god was amused and decided to give the artifact to MC, mostly for the hell of it. Said artifact is a crystal that when put in a liquid will make all who drink it obey it's owner. The God basically wants to see what mc who used to be a stoic would do with such a thing. Some things happen, MC decides that he can't take over a country or something similar in scope because his powerlevel is low, so he decides to look for an isolated village where he could mind control everyone, and no one from outside will find out.If it succeeds he would be set for life, so he decides that's the best he can make of his situation. He chooses as his target a remote elven village he hears about from an elven expatriate. Said village is so isolated that he doesn't even find it on maps so he decides to choose it as his target, and pays said expatriate to take him there under some pretense(like gathering rare herbs or something, still work in progress).

Once there he begins his work, but finds this weird elf girl that had silver hair and amethyst eyes. Thing is, no elf in this world looked like that and he is quite intrigued. What he doesn't find out until later is that she's a very rare specimen of a "Fallen elf", which are the result of a physical relationship between a high elf(superior elf species) and a powerful demon. Fallen elves are considered walking catastrophes and are usually hunted down immediately by all authorities, but because one didn't appear for millennia no one was on guard for a Fallen, with most people including MC not knowing a thing about them, and because villagers hid her, as she was the daughter of a local hero. Her power level is stupidly high, almost Melkor-tier, where the entire world would immediately have to come together to stand a chance against her(which realistically won't happen) if she wished to take it over.

1/2

>> No.12583186

She had been completely starved of contact with other people as the villagers merely tolerated but abhorred her, so she almost immediately falls in love with MC when he takes an interest in her. He doesn't care anymore about his initial plan, but the crystal and the villagers will be put to use when he decides to help her, but more on that later. Their relationship is very unhealthy at the beginning because of her excessively submissive personality caused by her finally finding someone who loves her and fearing him going away, but eventually it becomes almost normal. Because she is "whole" now, her natural instincts begin to take over and she has a crushing desire to take over/end the world, and MC decides to tag along and help her because the only person he really cared about at that point is her, and he realizes he doesn't really mind everyone else just dying if their love would continue. I haven't yet decided on an ending, but they will almost certainly be able to achieve her goal. There would be christian and babylonian creation myth symbolism and Sedis(the girl) could be likened to both the Antichrist and Tiamat. Opinions?

Let me tell you my experience with prostitutes life stories. Most of them, I would say 90% (and I spend a lot of money with girls, but not on the US) have a similar life story:

>They come from religious homes where their parents are mostly ignorant: going to church is what matters, and praying, but when it comes to follow the rigorous discipline of the commandments things get more complicated. Generally the father is always going to bars to drink or absent from house chasing skirts.

>Since their fathers are ignorant and sometimes violent, and since their houses are mostly small and crowded, those girls cant wait to get an opportunity to get out.

>The opportunity comes when they meet their first boyfriend. They end up having unprotected sex and get pregnant, even at early ages as 13-14 (remember that the parents are ignorant and religious, so they never mention anything about how babies are conceived: the girls have some ideas about sex, but mostly nebulous things).

>The young couple move to a house to live as a family.

>The guy turns out to be an asswhole – whores around, drinks, sometimes beats his young wife - and the marriage falls apart. The guy moves out but needs to pay a pension to sustain the child. A lot of those guys don’t pay the pension, and so the mother doesn’t have enough money to sustain herself and the child.

>They work on factories and other jobs, but the wages are to low. Meanwhile the Law takes time to hunt the father down and force the guy to pay the pension.

>The answer that many women in that situation find to be able to sustain themselves and earn more money in order to start having dreams and plan a future is to turn to prostitution.

>The most beautiful of them sometimes become so successful that they even pay for houses to their parents.

>Since whorehouses are also places that sell drugs it’s typical from the owners to try to get the girls addicted to cocaine and make they spend their work money on drugs, thus using them in two different ways.

Some stories are quite unique. This girl, for example, with an extremely high IQ that became a prostitute (she even recited equations during the sexual act):

http://www.bbc.com/future/story/20150413-the-downsides-of-being-clever

Another pattern that happened a lot was that of girls who had a good middle class upbringing but wanted to go to an expensive University and buy nice clothes and apartments and etc. Those were those kinds of girls who were extremely beautiful, or that possesses a charismatic aura, so they knew that they could always get costumers that would pay a lot of money for a few hours with them,

uh because the premise is actually dogshit. Killing themselves at the end is a cop out for any writer and if he had gotten to the point of murdering someone, and the fantasies would cause him to question the point of it, the entirety of his psyche would have been twisted by the single idea of doing the act. By performing the act, the protag would, most likely want to do it again in the search to create art, be inspired or what have you.
This all comes down to his narcissism. If he is jealous, that is foremost about his insecurities about not being good enough and most artists are narcissistic anyway so therefore his jealousy would amply this feeling of wanting to be the best.
The concept of the serial killer wouldnt be a mystery novel you fucking bum. There are many types of ways to write about a serial killer and it doesnt have to be about catching or killing or chasing him. You could write from the perspective of his psyche replicated into every being with only fragments of the world to show him becoming more disillusioned.

Not really a novel idea, just idea for a story element.

In every fantasy ever the undead make no sense. They always live in in spooky fortresses, rasing the dead as mindless zombies and skeletons and try to take over the world. Their end goal seems to be to turn everyone into mindless zombies and skeletons and live in decaying necropolises where they are the only sentient living person. But... why? Who would want to live like that forever? I get that people want to make themselves immortal so they turn to necromancy but why would you want to prolong your life if you actually want to destroy everything that makes living enjoyable?

So my idea for the undead is this: people, as always, are afraid to die and want to prolong their lives and there is a kind of magic that can do it - you can continue living as sentient beings, although you lose some of your humanity. Some people start to offer this magic to people, which many others see as blasphemy. This eventually leads to a split in society and some part of the land get taken over by the undead/necromancers.

Their settlements grow quickly because people seldom die but there are always new people coming in. The average citizen moves in, lives life as normal human for some decades, has kids etc. and when they start to age they request the undead treatment and get turned immortal. This also means that they have to expand to be able to sustain this growing population. Also their societies would be very life affirming and somewhat materialistic/hedonistic while normal humans would be more inclined to religion.

After some confusion and firefights, they decided to call for a truce and search the building and the outside area, only to discover they have been whisked away to another world, full of strange and (sometimes) magical things. They go power crazy and pick fights with the locals, only to find that they too were from another world entirely.

I planned on a comedic action story with lots of dumb moments, stereotypical fantasy races and some underlying gun-cult mania.

Plenty of ideas, no time to put into words.

I recently had a dream about a group of minor Greek gods who went on an oddysey but angered Zeus, and were subsequently made mortal and cast down from Olympus upon their return. They're dropped in late 20th century America and decide to journey to back to Mount Olympus, in order to somehow appease Zeus and get their immortality back. All the while they have to come to terms with their new frail, weak and vulnerable bodies.
I want to eventually make a Homeric style epic of it.

This is a lulzy idea, but instead of negotiating the strikers should just die and go to hell. God doesn't negotiate with spiritual terrorists.

Its important for characters to have a motivation right? I'm trying to write a long dark fantasy adventure, is it acceptable for one of the main characters to not really have a purpose until later on?
