I take everything back, I'm starting to dig her. There's something oddly cute and unpretentious about her. I think that it's ultimately going to be impossible to differentiate between complex behaviors that arise out of evolutionary necessity and those that arise out of social necessity. Is the concept of taboo necessary for the functioning of a complex social body on an evolutionary level or a social level? Would a person raised by wolves conceive of punishment removed into the future, as the abstract, potential consequence of a crime? Could they? How would we go about testing this?
