How is this? Should I read it? My only other philosophy readings have been Montaigne's Essays, Nicomachean Ethics, Seneca's letters, Aurelius' Meditations, some Plato dialogues

just find a pdf and try to read it, it's not going to reference any earlier works or anything -- that being said it is often considered one of the hardest works of philosophy ever written, so don't be afraid to nope out and come back later

If you read and understood Plato's Parmenides, Theaetetus, and The Sophist perfectly, you'll have no problem with Spinoza's Ethics.
Should you read it? It depends on whether or not you're interested in the universe, the relationship between the universe and man, and the passions of the soul.
