Write something average and play up the race card if you want financial success and empty awards.
If you want something with meaning and honesty write what you care about and you'll have about the same chance as anyone else. A lot of great writers were mulattos and octoroons. Eg Pushkin, dumas, ellison.

First you need a serious addiction. It's going to have to be a serious white addiction too, so don't get no dumb ideas about crack or weed like I know you want to do.
