book is not Islamophobic, but presents a thought experiment that might seem a little vile and is definitely satirical in it's own ways. It's a very entertaining book, well worth the read and it takes like a week front to back so just read it.

The Muslim guy's France was literally better than modern France

>> No.12487451

It's not really islamophobic. The main target is the anomie brought by current Western culture. Islam is shown as a cure against this nihilism. Not a great or even good cure though, just better than nihilism.

The book is definitely worth reading.

It is extremely islamophobic. I was triggered several times and had to close the book for a moment. Having your oneitis close to you will help, my bf has proven wonderful. Like a revenge against hate speech, he bought arab biscuits and we ate them together while petting the cat (it is black by the way!). The world definitely needs more love. I don't recommend Submission.

if you read it and think it's islamophobic, you're a turbo-pseud.

Hey I just read the book and it is not islamophobic.
You would think by the synopsis it would be, but once you read the book you realize it is not.

I don't want to spoil because if I'm being honest then it is better for you to find out for yourself.

Plus if anyone would be islamophobic I'd rather it be harmless cuck boy houellebecq rather than fucking imperialist politicians.

Submission is a great book, and if we're being honest, platform is the "Islamophobic" one.

There aren't any """worldview-validating""" anti-Islam tirades, if that's what you're looking for. If anything, it's more of an observation of the degradation of the French people/culture and Houellebecq's proposed solution to the problem, be it for better or for worse. It's an okay book.

"Islamophobia," lol. No, the book is far more Christianophobic and Francophobic, not to say liberalophobic and socialistophobic, than Islamophobic.
