Hot take: Both NEETS and wagies are both trapped in metaphorical cages. The wagie, obviously has to go to work 5/7 days of the week so he pay his bills. Unless you're working a job you're passionate about that fulfills you, spending most of your time doing something that you have no drive to do is obviously going to be stressful.

But the NEET is no better. Unless you somehow have a couple hundred G's stacked in your basement, you're probably completely financially dependent on the state, or god forbid, your parents. You cannot consider yourself to be truly free if you do not have financial freedom. And, even the most mangy vagrant humans have an internal motivation to pay their debts, and if you're living in your mom's basement, that debt would be moving into your own fucking place you subhuman. Not even counting financial freedom, if you live with your parents you have to actually share the house with them and you can't do whatever the fuck you'd want to do by yourself. The sad fact about this existential dread inducing question is that...if you want to be free and i mean truly free, as in -- fully self-sufficient and not dependant on anyone...You will most likely have to work. Yet if you find a job that fullfills you, makes you happy and you don't want to bite the pillow every morning just thinking about going there. Then, then you will be free. Alas, a profession that truly clicks with you and brings you true joy is extremely rare.

It's definitely the correct board because the image contains poetry and the post is about a philosophical question (neechi and emanuel cant both wrote about this)
So yeah, you're wrong, dumb and pseud-pilled. Blow me, kid.

Truly mindblowing hot take, faggot. How is this literature related?

So enlightenment is not being a NEET or wagecuck, but solely a gentlemen scholar.

Yeah, ancient philosophy depended on a society that depended on slaves.

So your ideal life of the mind requires you to have some sort of passive income. Slumlording is probably the closest you can get.
