Sup /lit/ writers?

Do you guys use a word processor other than Word or whatever comes on Windows by default? I never really thought of it until now. If there's a superior Word processor for free online that doesn't need a serial key that supposedly came with your computer, what is it?

ABIWord is a lot lighter than Open Office and you can get it in a portable version if you want.

You can also get a spellcheck plugin for Notepad++
That's really slick.

I use Notepadd++

Basically the same thing as Notepad with some addons.

OP here I've looked at them all and I think Notepad++ is for me. Trying to figure out how to get the damn spell checker to install.

Anyways, thanks everyone.

This because its free and I don't want to pay for Word.

Though I prefer the Wordpad it doesn't have spell check and word count.

Is there something intrinsicly wrong with Word? I mean what exactly makes processor 'superior"?

Pretty UI? Less memory usage (because Word will bring your '95 machine to a halt)? What?

I mean is the REAL reason that you realised Word does NOT come on Windows by default and actually have to pay for it but you won't because it's too expensive for you?
