Inhalation Therapy

I

Someone at the train station is wearing your perfume.
Carousing in between sullen patrons,
it wafts up into my nostrils like nectar
through a butterfly’s proboscis in seasons of bloom.

II

Your perfume is a straw which, thrust deep into
the cup of my sinuses, sucks out a
gelatinous goo – long-forgot memories
of time I used to spend with you.
