I read Of Human Bondage and found it incomparable with any novel I have read, I read it slowly and carefully but was never bored or couldn't comprehend what he was saying: I just loved it to pieces.

I've started going through his short stories and finding them wonderful too.

His greatest contribution to literature is that insane webpage run by the guy who thinks Maugham was telling the truth in all the stories where he claimed as narrator to have been told a story by someone else, and that he (the insane guy) met the person that Larry Darrell from The Razor's Edge is based on.

That, and going around with a handful of shit in his last, ga-ga years. That made me larf.
