How does Hobbes reconcile his individualism with the 'war of all against all', when this is what individualism naturally entails?

I don't think so. Most important chapters are book 2, chapters 13-14-17 if I remember. War is natural but contradicts human nature, therefore peace is necessary, therefore a common power (sovereign state) is necessary. This is probably between chapters 13 and 17.
