God that was so long ago. Something about man and his symbols? I don't recommend going down this path, watch some youtube videos and get out.

i like him because he never fell for the positivist mechanization of the human being, nor the medicalization of complex problems of the human pshyce

tl;dr he never forgot we have a soul

The Undiscovered Self

>> No.12430416

I started with Archetypes and Symbols of Transformation, then Alchemy&Psychology. Still got some on my shelf. Fortunately I'm German and was able to get first editions in an antique bookstore, really pretty volumes.

>> No.12430760

I started with "the innermost kernel", its a book about his letters with wolfgang pauli

>> No.12430771

I like Jung because he brought a transcendent aspect to psychology. Wiped the taint of Freud from the school.

>> No.12430777

>>12430771

p.s. I'd start with The Archetypes and the Collective Unconscious.

Read The Undiscovered Self, it's short and is a good introduction of his approach.

>> No.12432075

American psychiatrist Anthony Stevens wrote a decent, and also pretty short, introduction/summary of his life and thought. Not a bad idea to start there.

>> No.12432139

How would Jung cure someone with autism? Asking for a friend.
