The ‘German ideology’ that the title refers to is the set of beliefs held by other German philosophers at time, mostly the young Hegelians. He is looking at Bruno Bauer and Max Stirner (etc) and saying they are all being caught up in a wrong point of view that is going around among young German thinkers at the time.
