I like the Alice books, I love the absurdity and the wordplay and the fact that they unabashedly exist for that playfulness. The only problem is that there are portions that can be rather dull when the humor has gone sour over the last century.

Best be trolling. How is Catch 22 not a great piece of literature?

It's good but if you plan on rereading it regularly for the rest of your life there may be something wrong with you.

I go back and reread certain books every few years, and that one has always stayed fresh through rereads. Obviously not gonna be the only thing I read for the rest of my life.

Have you read Journey to the End of Night by Louis-Ferdinand Celine? It's like a WWI Catch 22, and in my opinion much more literary, much more funny, and much more worthy of rereading.

If you can find a copy, check it out. You'll definitely enjoy it you like Catch 22 so much.

You know, I've heard of Celine, but never read anything by him. I'll definitely be sure to check that one out. Thanks for the recommendation.
