What is a good way to stop getting angry when presented with arguments you haven't heard before? Any books for this?

It goes away with age, unless you're not totally retarded. Also, it helps if you read systematically and holistically about ***that topic***, so in that way, every other opinion or argument is just another cog and historically placed, so you take it as ***another lesson and more info*** and not as petulant shit.

not having strong opinions helps

realizing that young people (as in people under 25, or even older if they havent been following a reasonable course of self-education) really really don't know shit. honestly, thinking about how far away I am from having anything like a comprehensive classical education stops me from having any views besides some basic intuitions (there is an external world, there exist immaterial things, it's generally good to be in accordance with nature) that I'll forcefully state, or be angry when someone contradicts them. even of those ones I just listed the only one that I'm angry to hear contradicted is the last one, when people denigrate nature as an authority, and even then I think I shouldn't be so final on that question, except when it's just some redditor who misunderstands what I mean by "nature" (as almost anyone who references the "naturalistic fallacy" does)

basically, let yourself be humbled by the enormity and complexity of the history of thought
