Unironic answer is don't read Jung if you're not an open person as you won't understand or care to understand his writings. You might be able to "understand" it, but not integrate or comprehend it.
Jung will teach you about the importance of dreams and of your unconscious, and how to integrate your unconscious into your life. He thinks the modern man has lost contact with his unconscious, leading to mental illness and unhappiness. I recommend starting with man and his symbols.

Jung will provide the independent thinker with the tools to discover themselves as an individual. By individual, i'm not referring to Rand tier "mememe" autism, or "muh empowerment of the individual among collectivistic structures of power" in a leftist sense, but rather the discovery of the self and the subconscious beneath it. You will need to be critical and open minded at the same time and by open minded I don't mean being a cumguzzling transfaggot with 7 identites for every day of the week, I really just mean being open to new ideas, intellectually and spiritually.
