How many books can I read at once? I have 5 or 6 books i want to read and feel too impatient not to at once but then... it doesnt sound like a good idea.

Just read one at a time, you'll finish all 6 in the same amount of time as if you read them all together (same number of pages), but you will understand each one better

I don't know about this meme. You learn through repeat reviews of the material. I think you would remember a book more if you read it over the course of a month instead of binging it in a day and forgetting it. So why wouldn't reading small chunks of multiple books at a time give you more time to absorb, understand, and remember the material?

If the material is similar you could easily get confused, if it is very different your mind will be scattered.

What kind of question is this? What do you mean how many books can you read at once? Are you a child? Do you have a curfew? Do your parents scold you if you stay up past your bedtime?

You can literally read as many or as few books as you want OP. What is stopping you from reading 20 books at once? Do you think there's some scientific objective number of books you should, can or must read at the same time? Do you suffer from mental illness that the number of books you can read at once is thereby limited? OP are you so indecisive that you can't even decide how many books you want to read at once? How do you get up in the morning? How do you function in society? Do you defer all your major life decisions to others if you can't even decide on something as simple as which and how many books you should read at once? What kind of man are you? Are you a man?

But in school we don't teach one subject of a time. You take multiple courses, related and completely unrelated. Sometimes learning multiple things at a time is better because you make critical connections between subjects that cements your understanding. You want to integrate thought into your worldview, not treat everything as an isolated module.

OP do what you want but it's my opinion that reading 3-5 books at a time over the course of multiple weeks is optimal.

Maybe in undergraduate school, and how much of that do most people remember?

choose a harder, more thought provoking book and an easy one with a fast, interesting plot, then read each when you feel in the mood.

I do 2 at a time. Usually fiction and nonfiction. What I do is read one for 80% of the reading time and then read the second one for the remaining 20% of the time. That is what works best for me. I don’t have the attention span for one book at a time.

Most people don't remember any of it because they binge study the night before a test, which is kind of my point
