Post your novel ideas. It’s not like they’re going anywhere.

I was jokingly gonna write about a man and a bear having sweaty, hairy ass-sex with each other but by writing out the premise you just scored me a really fucking good idea for a novel. Thanks pig.

I started to write my latest idea out here but them got inspired and it's now in a Google doc to be completed instead of in this shitty thread. Thanks!

Do people here not actually write books? Do you guys just come up with ideas and never follow through and instead spend your time discussing other peoples works? wtf

Ubearble unbelievable shit that actually can happen to people, although it might seem unlikely. I have a personal experience, well, rather a few, but one that really sticks out. My ex fiancée left me for my father. I was thinking a collection of short strange stories that ultimately bind into the full perpective of what happened to me. From the sight of father, ex-fiancèe (those who affected them) and finally my perpective. But it's never gonna happen, seeing as I am dyslexic and wold have to find a ghost writer who could get their head around my perspective and my philosophies.

I dump so many ideas in these threads. I wish I had the guts/concentration/talent or whatever to actually write them.

Nearly two hundred million years in the future, there are multiple species of human. One of them is eusocial, like ants and termites; the fertile caste is outnumbered by the sterile daughters, the latter modified by the mother in utero for specific roles. The novel would follow the life of a female of the species as she becomes a matriarch and sets out to the edge of the galaxy to observe the rest of the universe and wage war against her peers.

A massive focus on biotech, post-scarcity concepts and primate-based ecologies.

Dying Earth novel about some guy who can regenerate plants and heal things who must hide his ability from people who would want to use it for their own ends. He's basically just letting the Earth die since he's tired of how corrupt humans are.

A comedic play about a wife agreeing with her husband to "open their relation" and "explore their sexuality with other people" and the husband starts regularly having hookups with grindr traps just above the legal age of consent, for the wife's jealousy and dismay. She ends up getting really angry at his husband for agreeing with the terms SHE SET UP in the first play and kicking him out of the house, but the husband doesn't really give a fuck because he has boipussy.

If it's more abstract and philosophical rather than a YA self insert dystopia or whatever, this could legit be cool.

I figured I would pitch it as a Dying Earth novel rather than a Fantasy or Science Fiction since Dying Earth is underexposed but has so little content itself as a genre.

True but you don't see it enough in western literature. Largely all Vance or Gene Wolfe. Now I just have to make it less commercial so nu-males don't fawn over it.

Awsome to hear, but I think it hasn't quite settled down yet, I was recently sued because I put up a video where I shortly tell what I went through. Apparently she didn't like the thought of me telling it from my side so. When the case is settled I might re-upload the video, and this time in English. Mabye than I can get a bit more publicity, and mabye a publication company could assign me a specific ghost writer who can handle me (I'm a BIT crazy)
